Writing and Producing Radio Drama in the Classroom This is a section on this site. It includes much of the information included in our book, Theatre of the Mind, Writing and Producing Radio Drama in the Classroom, by Don Kisner. The site gives you everything you need to have your students writing and producing radio dramas in your classroom right away. The materials are copyrighted, but as a teacher, Balance Publishing Company grants you permission to copy the materials on the site for use with your students. No strings attached. Check it out! Museum of Television and Radio MTR (in both New York and Los Angeles) provides radio drama workshops for 9 through 14 year olds. MTR also offers, for purchase, many old-time radio dramas on cassette--Suspense, Escape, The Lone Ranger, War of the Worlds, and a great selection of comedy shows including Abbott and Costello, The Bickersons, and Charlie McCarthy and Edgar Bergen. Many of these (Suspense and Escape especially) are great for classroom listening.
